I had just upgraded to the new 9version of messenger and had some problems
with it so I uninstalled from the add/remove in control panel. When i went to
reinstall it, windows live says that I already have installed it and it won't
let me re-install. I have tried every version since and they are all saying I
have a newer version already on my computer and I can't d/l the older
versions. All I can download is 5.1. I did a computer search for messenger
and there is absolutely no record of it on my c: drive at all.
Can anyone help me?

Hi,

The support here is peer-to-peer. I don't get paid anything but Microsoft does award people
who have made a significant contribution on forums/newsgroups as "Most Valuable
Professionals" (MVP) and thus my MVP moniker.

Glad to be of assistance!
