Multi boot

After installing latest build of vista (5365 x64) my xp is gone :(

Vista is installed on primary partition, xp on secondary.
Now i formated the primary partition and after booting i can't choose to go
to xp no more.

Using BCDEDIT aint working, if i want to add a entry it says access denied.

How can i add xp to the boot order again???

Can you at least access the XP Partition and backup any data you might have
on it from Vista?
