Need help with following error messages

I hope I am posting in the right group.

8/30/2009 1:02 AM ATT Errors
Unable to send or receive messages for the mail.live.com account. The e-mail
server returned an error.

Server Error: 0x800CCC90
Server Response: -ERR AVG POP3 Proxy Server: Cannot connect to the mail
server!
Server: 'mail.live.com'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC90

Thank you for your help I am very new to windows vista and live network even
using this news group
Protocol: POP3
Port: 110
Secure(SSL): No

Your problem is caused by having email scanning activated in AVG.

You need to remove AVG and reinstall it using the custom install option,
presented part way into the install, then remove the check mark from mail
scan.
