Windows 7 does not have an email client.
Outlook Express is not available for installation on Windows 7.
Outlook Express won't run on Windows7

Your mail 'server' is provided by your isp or email account provider.

If you have access to the old computer and its files...then Outlook Express message store folder(dbx files) can be copied to any
Win7 machine for importing into an email client capable of importing OE messages
- Both Windows Live Mail and Outlook(03, 07) can import data from the OE message store folder
- When copying OE's message stored ensure Folders.dbx is copied(required to import OE messages)

Hi, katiusciad.

Outlook Express will not run in Vista or in Windows 7. The replacement in
Vista was Windows Mail, but Microsoft does not support that in any Windows
version other than Vista. Win7 comes with NO email or news client, as
you've learned. But you can download Windows Live Mail - and as many of the
other Windows Live Essentials (Calendar, Photo Gallery, Messenger, etc.) as
you want - for free. Just go to http://download.live.com . Or install a
third-party application of your choice; there are several available.

Microsoft's Outlook (not Outlook Express) is available, either standalone or
as a part of Microsoft Office. Outlook handles email (plus contacts and a
calendar) but not newsgroups.

If you install Windows Live Mail, it will Import your messages and other
settings from Outlook Express. The easy way is to use Windows Easy Transfer
(included with Windows 7) to export those items from WinXP to a thumb drive
or other transfer media, then import them into Win7. WET works very well
for most users. Another way is to copy your OE Store Folder files into a
location that Win7 can read - and that you have given yourself permission to
access - and then use WLM's Import | Messages function.
