well, you need to post your computer's brand, model and specifications.
"operating system not found" could be a RAID setting disabled or enabled in the BIOS, depending on your configuration. could be a broken RAID, loose hard drive, defective hard drive.
check if your hard drive is detected in the BIOS, and check the RAID settings.
other than that try a checkdisk, or reinstall windows.

Hi rsaya1,

When your power up your laptop, enter your BIOS by pressing 'Esc', 'Del' or 'F2' (these are the typical keys) - check the manual to see which key to press. Check the system time. Is it correct, and is it maintaining the correct time or is it resetting to an arbitrary time and date each time you power up your system? If it is failing to keep the correct time then that means the small button battery on your motherboard has failed and that the CMOS has lost its settings. Usually, the BIOS will revert back to using default settings, but if the settings have to be changed from their defaults to allow your laptop to function then this could be where the problem lies. Refer to the manual for details on how to change this battery, but if you are unsure about how to proceed you will need to entrust your laptop to someone with more experience in this sort of thing.

Before you do anything, check if there is bad contact at the hd connector.
