Visibility is turned on for vista business machine. Other machines are XP
and windows 2000 .I can ping an IP address but cannot ping the same machine
when using its hostname. I can ping external websites by using thein hostname
or their IP address I cannot ping the local machine with its hostname either.
The error message is Ping request could not find host hostame. Please check
the name and try again.
My local Vista Business machine is visible in "Network'" view along with
ADSL rate. Internet connectivity is fine.
Sharing dries on fruiters by IP address is not Ok an a network Managed by
DHCP.
Incur had these issues wits XP on 2000 machines using the same
infrastructure Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.
