Protected Mode Off?

Under Security tab, "Enable Protected Mode" is ticked, but there is no message at the bottom of the screen indicating if it is on or off. Also the option to increase or derease font size is gone. The whole bar at the bottom has disappeared, I've recently had to switch anti virus software and maybe something happened during the process. UAC is on.

    Not sure what case or cooling means. Could not find in any documentation. The keyboard is the standard that comes with the HP Slimline.
Hello Fred,

Sounds like you may have accidentally unchecked the Status bar in Internet Explorer. Right click on a empty space on the top toolbar by the tabs, and click on Status Bar to check it.
