New Laptop, New Vista, Nothing But Issue

#1
Have tried setting up mail accounts on Vista through both Windows and Outlook
2003 mail, which has resulted in both being able to send out ok but of the
43+ e-mails I have out there not getting down loaded to my laptop! Have
already removed all security software and still no positive move forward...
someone help please... Below is the standard time out message I am getting
from Windows Mail, which may, or may not, help you answer this question I
have posted?

Account: 'pop3.clear.net.nz', Server: 'pop3.clear.net.nz', Protocol: POP3,
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC19

If you have either McAfee or Norton antivirus installed,
uninstall them. For background information on this see:

Hey a fellow Kiwi, that's worth going the extra mile for.

I think you are setting up the Pop3 (receive e-mails) wrong

Go to the www.Clear.net.nz web page and search on pop3 setup and then select
the OE v6 instructions and follow the clear pictures. In your account
settings, the Pop3 should read

pop.clear.net.nz

Looks like you have put a 3 in there in error, according to your error
message
