When windows live mail imported my address book from Outlook Express it did
so in one lump sum. I had different groups of email address in my WAB, such
as work, family, ect. Now in Window Live mail I have a giant list with 300+
email address. Is there a way to import the wab as it was in Outlook Exoress
or do I have to organize these manually? The fact that I can't use OE with my
Hotmail account as before is incredibly frustrating.

Groups do not import in any method(migration from OE, file/import from OE, or importing the contacts via a csv file)

In WLM, the contacts will need to be configured into their own Categories(the term Group was dropped a few versions ago).

Check to ensure that all contacts are present...if OE had multiple email addresses in one contact, some may have not been imported
regardless of the method used(migrate, import etc).

The easiest way to import contacts is via a Live ID.
Export contacts from OE to a csv file, check the file in Excel for any single line entries that are not in the correct field
header(delete them or edit the file accordingly), logon to your Hotmail account at people.live.com, import the contacts choosing
the OE option, open WLM, sign on with that same Live ID, let WLM build the contact by sychronization. Use that same Live ID
thereafter to sign on to Windows Live.

If you don't wish to sign on...copy that Live ID's contacts.edb data base to the Default contacts DBStore folder.
- if you need instructions on how to do this, I can provide those instruction if necessary.
