I took my Norton off of my computer but I still can't get my email.
I don't have any other protection that I know of. Please help.

Hi Jane,

See the "First" section in this tutorial to see if you already did all the steps when having to remove Norton.

If you did, then you might look at the "Third" section in the same tutorial for a free alternative email program. I recommend Windows Live Mail Beta.

Did you use the proper uninstall procedure? Sometimes remnants of
Norton are left behind which require removal with their special tool:

If you get an error message when you try to use Windows Mail,
please right-click on it, copy, then paste it into a reply here.

After running the utility Gary gave a link to, remove your email account,
close the mail program, then reopen the mail program and re-enter the
account.
