Hello Shawn,
Went back in and deleated the value,as you said, restarted and still no task Mrg. Then went back in and right clicked ,New,DWORD ,Disable, enter , Modify 1, all those things and then DisableTaskMgr and Delete then yes and then closed and restarted , and still no Task Mgr. Now when I look that place there is (Default) REG SZ no value or anything listed after SZ
Thanks, Dan

Dan,

Could you post a screenshot showing these registry entries and values?

Have you tried using METHOD TWO with the REG files instead to have this done automatically for you?

Ah, I see now.

The default associations for your REG file extension are incorrectly set to Notepad. In Default Programs (Method Three at link), set the REG file extension to have it's "Current Default" program set as Registry Editor ( C:\Windows\regedit.exe).

Afterwards, try merging the REG download again. :)

Ok, so it says that the command prompt was locked by the administrator aswell. Would you be able to use the teamviewer application with me? I am sure there are a lot of other programs that are locked aswell.

Sorry lazycarrot, all support is only provided through the site.

In that case, you could try doing a system restore at boot using a restore point date before this happened to hopefully undo and fix it.

If you didn't do this by mistake, then it may have been done by malware. I would strongly recommend for your to scan your system at boot using Windows Defender Offline. If need be, you could create the bootable DVD or USB on another computer to use on yours at boot.

Disregard my comments, you were correct i had a virus (malware) so i downloaded the spybot search and destroy antimalware application and it found the virus. It also unlocked all my programs when it deleted the virus.
-Thank you for your time
