Transferring emails windows mail Vista to windows 10

Go to \Users\Yourname\Contacts and copy & Paste that folder into your win10 pc...

E-mail...what client do you use?

I Think you can export emails in PST format if you use Outlook...

What do you use to read email?

Do you connect to your webmail or you use a client for manage your emails such as outlook?

Sorry, I'm not sure what you mean. I'm using Windows Mail, which I think is later than Outlook.

As you say I can copy the contacts but what about the old emails I want to save?

You can export your old emails by clicking on "File" and then on "Export" in your Windows Mail..than export in Windows Mail Format.

And are you able to run Windows Mail on your Windows 10 computer?
I have the same problem with a newly purchased computer.
The Mail App in Windows 10 is a complete disaster as far as functionality is concerned and Windows Mail is far better.
