Uninstall Missing in Programs Control Panel

I needed to uninstall a program. So, I went Start-->Control
Panel-->Programs-->Uninstall a Program. Once the windo populated the
"Uninstall" option was missing for all prgrams. There was only "Organinize"
and "View."

I'm lost, any ideas?

Thanks, Rick

Highlight a listed program and the uninstall/change option should appear.

Hi Rick,

I don't know on this one. If you don't know where the individual uninstall is for each program, you can download the Free CCleaner program & use it's Uninstall feature in a pinch until you get this resolved. It'll be under the Tools section in CCleaner. Here's the link:

http://ccleaner.com/

Hope this helps for now,
Shawn

Uninstall doesn't show up until you click on an individual entry in the
list. Does that not happen?

I have the same issue and although this works surely there is a fix for this
in Windows or is the uninstall feature not an option in Vista?

Same - issue - I have seen enough posts to convince me that there is an
underlying issue here.

Microsoft - please end the pain.

Haha! I have this issue as well, though it was via Ccleaner that I caused the problem.
Went to clean PC, and uninstalled the Vista uninstaller via Ccleaner. I saw a green V named uninstaller under tools in Ccleaner. Figuring this was spyware I uninstalled that "uninstaller"

Turns out I uninstalled the Vista uninstaller. No clue as to why MS made the uninstaller uninstallable. Ccleaner picked it up, and me never ever even thinking anything bad could happen from uninstalling something named uninstaller ended up now always having to use Ccleaner. Albeit with a lot more care haha :)

Aah, I noticed I'm kinda like 2 years late here hehehe :) Ohw well. Maybe this has some use for others :)
