Vista annoying start-up blocking programs

I am new to Vista. And one thing I don't like about it is that it is asking
me to give permission to enter my own programs that I want to enter. I am
the only user, (Administrator). Why must I always give permission to myself
to enter my own applications/programs? I know its for security reasons, but
....Is there some way to get avoid this procedure?
Another question that might be related, is that when I start Vista on my
desktop, it is always telling me that I have something in the start-up
program that is being blocked. I go to the programs, and unblock it but the
dialogue box always appears. What can I do to get rid of this? Thanks.

In the box that appears is their a small box to check "do not show me

I'm sad to report that the link in the "Note" section at this URL is the
only workaround I know of that works--short of disabling UAC.
