PLEASEI JUST GOT A NOTEBOOK FROM GATEWAY THAT I LOVE BUT FOR SOME REASON
,CANNOT USE ANY OF THE MEDIA SOFTWARE,WHEN I START WINDOWS VD MAKER OR MOVIE
MAKER THEY START UP BUT THEN WHEN TRYING T ADD A MOVIE TO COPY OR ANYTHING
ELSE I GET A "WINDOWS MOVIEMAKER HAS STOPPED WORKING" MESSAGE AS I DO ON THE
OTHER TWO .
NOW I WAS TOLD TO RESTART MY LAPTOP AND HIT THE F8 TILL I GET A RESTORE TO
FACTORY SCREEN ,BUT OF COURSE I GET SAFE MODE AND EVERY OTHER ONE BUT THAT.SO
IM AT A 3 WEEK POINT AND STILL NOT ENJOYING THIS LAPTOP.GATEWAY DONT KNOW
SQUAT ABOUT THIS PROBLE AND SENT ME TO MICROSOFT BEING ITS THEIR SOFTEWARE.SO
YOU MVP'S HELP!!!!!!!PLEASE

I would fix that stuck caps lock key and then move onto the software
problems.

Flobie, you shouldn't be having any problems with your Gateway computer,
certainly not problems of this type, not when it's new. Gateway misinformed
you. Software support for whatever is preinstalled on the system is the
responsibility of the OEM, Original Equipment Manufacturer, in your case,
Gateway.

We can try to help but we will need your laptop's specs, processor type and
speed, how much memory, is the memory shared with the graphics card, if yes,
how much, whether or not you've installed other programs, what programs and
versions and precisely what it is you are trying to do and steps you
followed.

Given that this is a relatively new computer, if it's not working properly,
you should return it for a replacement. By the way, making such a demand of
Gateway might also provide the incentive Gateway needs to provide you with
the proper assistance.

It's annoying to read something that's in all caps. And it's easy to hit the
Caps Lock key to unlock it.
The fact that you refuse to do that one simple tasks makes you a person not
worth helping in my book.
I hope others IGNORE YOUR PLEAS, TOO.
