fadedrs, I see that you have played Fear & Fear 2 but, did you also played the 2 or 3 expansion packs for it? that may keep you entertained for a while.

If you like playing the Single Player and if you could find GRAW I & II and VEGAS I & II for cheap, those may be another games you could play & possibly like. They are UBIsoft games and as such, poorly coded and unfinished with Zero support, hence, why I said "4 Cheap"... I wouldn't pay more than 10 bucks a piece.

the only one of those i have played is prototype so far, but i did like it.

i have heard that fear 2, and crysis are good games in there own right, but if you play fear 2 you should play the original fear first.

have not played either fear yet have them both installed but not played yet. and yes i have all the expansion packs for them installed also.

that comes with having 2 1TB hard drives and a 200GB HDD, i have plenty of storage space to have everything installed.

Try Call of Juarez. Just finished the first one and I enjoyed it. A great Wild West FPS. Although the stealth missions can get tedious, especially when you need to sneak past Native Americans, but the all out shoot-up-the-whole-town levels are fun.

About to start Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood, too, which is suppost to be a lot better than the previous CoJ.

ARMA II is available on Steam. It is a very nice Realistic Military Sim/FPS. No run and gun in ARMA, get cover or DIE!...lol Many FPS veterans hate the game because of the realistic aspect.

For those that don't know, you can also fly helos and planes, drive humvees, trucks, and tanks. Use and call in artillery strikes, or close air support. The game map is over 225 square Kilometers. Many youtube videos show some of the community, and what is being done with it.

It is also not widely played player vs. player in multiplayer. So that is another area they lose the common FPS player. It is usually HUGE coop games vs. AI. I am talking anywhere to 50 players can be on a server. I like it as nice change from the norm. I mainly play regular FPS games (Vegas, Call of Duty, and Halo) on 360

Sounds like a sim version of Battlefield 2, I'm interested. If only I had an internet connection that allowed me to play games without lagging out.

nice, thanks for the specs.

Among these 3 games: FEAR 2, prototype and crysis.
Which one should i grab first and get full satisfaction?
FEAR2 is good but brings nothing new from FEAR , its simply not as immersing or as scary :P

Crysis was blasted for nice eye candy but poor gameplay , i however loved it , every minute of it BUT its a dog to run , forget DX10 , if you want to play Crysis (i would ;) ) then take some time to set it up properly , i would very much recommend reading this

ArmA 2 is far too "realistic" unles you into super realistic dont bother it'll bore you to tears , and it still needs more patches , waste of my money!!

2142 is fantastic (online) but ive not played it in over a year

CODWAW single player is ok but too short , multiplayer is fantastic!

BF2142 is the only game I ever preordered, and I went back to BF2 a few days after. Both have their pro's and con's. The mech's and gunships are a blast in 2142, as well as having 4 classes that can stack in 2 directions. I'd say the problems with 2142 is some maps are just too big, where if you have to dismount in a remote area you could spend a lot of time walking (or suicide). Also it felt like more of a mod for BF2 then a new game.

Street Fighter 4. Its the only fighting game worth having on PC. Its Old School, lol but its fun as hell and thats what games are all about.

As soon as you here spinning bird kick or another memorable line it makes you smile.

Street Fighter 4. Its the only fighting game worth having on PC. Its Old School, lol but its fun as hell and thats what games are all about.

As soon as you here spinning bird kick or another memorable line it makes you smile.
Somehow I was completely oblivious to SF4 coming out for PC, time to go to the market

nice, thanks for the specs.

Among these 3 games: FEAR 2, prototype and crysis.
Which one should i grab first and get full satisfaction?
the only one of those i have played is prototype so far, but i did like it.

i have heard that fear 2, and crysis are good games in there own right, but if you play fear 2 you should play the original fear first.
I'm not much of a gamer, these days; I spend too much time in front of the computer at work without wanting to spend any more in my leisure.

That being said, I have recently played Crysis and Crysis:Warhead. My thoughts: very pretty graphics, very hard on anything but a monster-gaming-machine.... BUT: lousy AI. The game has to "cheat" to be challenging. By that I mean the baddies seem very poorly scripted (read: they're stupid), but often seemed to have no problems hearing you when you used a silenced weapon or seeing you when you were invisible or had concealment. Lame. Also, the controls were somewhat awkward.

My final thoughts on Crysis is that it's little more than a benchmarking tool for the gaming sites. Having played FarCry, it seems to be a general trend for Crytek products.
