Windows Boot

I am not sure this is actually a Windows Vista issue, since it started when I
was running XP, but since I am running Vista now I will post here.

Everytime I boot a screen comes up saying it is the Window Boot Manager.

The screen says:

Windows Failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the
cause. To fix the problem:

1. Insert your Windows installatioin disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click "Next".
3. Click "Repair your computer"

If you do not have this disc, contact your system administrator or computer
manufacturer for assistance.

File: \windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
Status: 0xc000428
Info: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file.

The options I have are Enter=Continue or ESC=Exit.

This happens every time I boot.

Usually after hitting "Enter" it will go to the boot options screen and I
usually just select to start normally, I have tried to select all the other
options but no difference. Sometimes the "Windows Boot Manager" will come
back up several times and then it will finally boot into Windows. Somtimes
the file will be "File: \windows\system32\winload.exe".

I loaded Windows Vista RC1 assuming that somehow my XP got screwed up and it
was a good "reason" to load Vista. :-) But that did not solve the problem.

Any sugestions would be great!!!!!

I am not where I intended to go, but I think I am where I am supposed to be!
