My windows explorer search function stopped working. I think it asked me if
I wanted to index something to be faster and I said yes and now it can't
find any files.

Hi Robin,

It may have asked you if you wanted to turn on "Search Index" to make the search faster. This tutorial will show you how to disable the Search Index so Vista will default to using the non-indexed search.

You usually get that prompt when it asks you if you want to add a particular
folder to indexing.

Have a look in Control Panel > Indexing Options

You normally then have to wait for indexing to complete to be able to find
items in the newly added folder, which may have been the case in your
situation.

Post back ifthe problem still hasn't rectified itself.
