Windows Live Mail message store location

My OS crashed and I am reinstalling. Prior to crash, I had installed Windows
Live Mail and it downloaded messages from a pop3 account. I want to make
sure I import those messages when I reinstall the mail program. Can someone
tell me what the file type is and where I can find it. I have a copy of
everything on the drive on which Live Mail was installed. Thanks.

Windows XP or Vista?
The file type is .eml. The location of the message store folder is given
here: Tools, Options, Advanced, Maintenance, Store Folder.

XP. Does it matter? Is there a standard location?
I copied all of my files to another drive and then reformatted the hard
drive to reinstall XP and thus will have to recover the .eml file manually.

Any ideas on a forum for XP reinstallation issues would be appreciated as
well as I cannot get XP to reinstall properly - after the initial files are
loaded, the computer restarts but won't boot up or complete the XP
installation.

thx

The path on the hard drive to the message store is different for XP
than it is for Vista. Either way, that setting I gave you reveals the location.

Sorry, I've been away from XP issues for some 26 months already.
