Windows Live Mail not responding

For the past month I get not responding when I try to open an email. I end
up having to close the program and reopen it. That does seem to help for
awhile, but it's really bad. Do you have any thoughts what could be causing
this problem? I'm thinking of uninstalling and reinstalling windows live
mail. I have a lot of mail in storage folders and I wondered if there is an
easy way to reload thiese folders. Any assistance would be greatly
appreciated.

Thank you.

Delete any problem messages in your acount(s) Inbox.

Perform a manual compact in WLM.
Open WLM(in mail mode and do not access any other application-contacts, news, feeds etc)
Set the compact counter to one
- tools/options/advanced/maintenance then click Close, click OK
Click File/Work Offline, then click File/Exit
Answer 'Yes' to the prompt (do not interrupt)

Open WLM and reset the counter to 100(or a number of your preference) and change to Online.

Please explain what you mean by 'reload these folders' ?

I thought when I uninstalled WLM it would remove my storage folders, but it
didn't. I've reinstalled WLM and tried what you suggested but I'm still
having Not responding issues. Any other ideas?

I don't believe I suggested to remove or reinstall WLM.

Also, if you wanted/expected a WLM reinstall to remove your storage folders why would you ask about 'reloading them' ????

Unless you can provide a better picture/explanation or exact error message(verbatim) of your symptom, it might be difficult for
anyone to provide additional ideas.
