I still have oe6, which continues to work, and thunderbird, and Outlook.

So why do you state that windows live mail doesn't work under WinXp?

OOPHS, A senior moment here. Sorry about that. I didn't notice the
reference to Windows Mail, as opposed to Windows Live Mail.

I did not say "Windows Live Mail", I said "Windows Mail". MSFT has struck
again!!! :=) Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail are as different from one
another as Outlook and Outlook Express. MSFT has one piddle-poor application
nomenclature system.

Windows Mail: The email client included with the Windows Vista OS. Will not
work in Windows XP.

Windows Live Mail: The new stand alone desktop mail client. Intended to
replace MS Outlook Express (included in MS Internet Explorer, through 6, and
found on Windows OSes through Windows XP), and Windows Mail (not included
with any browser, or with any MS OS prior to Windows Vista).

"T", "GOOG", "YHOO", "VZ", "MSFT".

Not so recently, "SBC" bought "T", then became, "T". More recently, "YHOO"
rebuffed an attempt to purchase them by "MSFT".

Thanks I get it, - never owned a share of anything in my life, I guess you'd
call me an all or nothing sort of guy - very little all and a heck of lot of
nothing

Did some work for the local exchange when it ditched the rugby scrum in
favour of distributed screen jockeys, did not understand the markets then,
understand them even less now.

And here was I thinking it meant MicroSoft's Factory for Terminology.
