What does it mean when there are shown the Windows shield on a shortcut?
Does it have anything to do with UAC?
Thank you.

The Windows Shield on shortcuts,(and on many command buttons within Windows Vista itself) genrally means the program/command requires administrative privledges to run, and you'll more than likely need to respond to a UAC prompt after opening that item.
