DXdiag and see what patch level you are at. You should have all the DX10 patches from Windows update. You can get the network distribution of DX10 to install.

DXDiag is the DirectX diagnostics tool. Search for it. Start and type dxdiag in search box above start.

System information should tell you the info you need to know. To update DirectX use Windows Update.

If you mean to update DirectX 10 to 10.1, not sure that is possible yet - but if and when it is it will be on Windows Update as well.

You need to update your graphics card to update the directx your using that has been and always will be the only way of truly updating directx...

However you can update your current revision to the latest version using Download details: DirectX Redist (March 2008)
