Does SP2 include all patches to SP1?

I purchased an HP Pavilions laptop, with Vista Home Premium SP1, 3-4 months ago. There were about 35-40 security patches waiting for download and installation. I haven't gotten around to installing all of them yet. Does SP2 include all of those patches?

TIA

SP2 will include all of the patches since SP1. There is no need to install all the in between updates.

Once you get SP2 installed, you can type compcln into the Vista search bar. Run that utility and it will delete the system files that are no longer needed by Vista. It will free up a nice chunk of space from your hard drive as well.

A Service Pack contains every update since the OS was released, up to a couple of months prior to the date of the Service Pack release, so it's always necessary to run updates after installing it.
