Windows 2007 Office Home and Student:-

I don't know if this was caused by the latest update or not but since then Office 2007 stopped working. When clicking on the icon it said it was starting an installer instead of opening the program.
First attempts at repairing Office failed and so did uninstall.
After searching for solutions and trying several windows "fixes" I finally managed to uninstall Office.
However I now cannot re-install it.
After some time at 75% through the install it comes up with "Error 1935" and a big number ending with HRRESULT 0x800736FD.
Again searched and tried more "fixes" including reinstalling .net framework and "update readiness tool" I still can't install Office.
Another thing that happened around the same time is that the mic on the Logitech C270 webcam won't work with Skype. even after driver download and re-install.

Looks like that's worth a try.
May be nothing to do with the updates, of course.
