Security Certificate Problems

Hello

While using Firefox I wanted to check my account details at the Amazon.uk site I received a warning message stating the certificate was out of date (12/02/2008), I opened a new page and used google to search for solutions and received a similar warning rregarding google site, I allowed Firefox to temporarily allow access to this site and tried to find a solution, the answer I came across the most was 'Is your time and date correctly set?'...It is

Another possible solution try typing in the site address rather than clicking on a link, bookmark etc...Nope still getting the same problem.

Try a different browser...the same error occurs in IE7 and Opera

Is there a setting in these browsers that causes this...can I start from scratch and delete these certificates and get up to date ones?

I am running Ultimate edition 32 bit with Kaspersky Internet Security 7

Thank you for your help

You can find the certificates by going to Internet Options => Content => Certificates.

I've never actually done anything like that with one of those, but I suspect some research online about downloading Certificates and applying them might turn up some more information.

Try clearing your SSL state and seeing if that does anything.

Re: Security Certificate Problems (SOLVED)

Thanks for the reply FightingScallion

I found that I had set Kaspersky Internet Security Traffic monitor to scan all encrypted connections

The only way it can do this is by certificate substitution which is what was causing the problem
