| Vista Ultimate | Re: New Firefox 3 and Addons How new is it wildman? Like today? I'm assuming so since you just posted this. I'm not so pleased with the firefox I have and i've been using Firefox for years. I figure it's just me and my lack of VISTA experience, but I have had no love with add ons on this current version. Guess I'll try the new one, if it's newer than what I have. I have firefox set to auto update......... |

The release candidate will not be downloaded through auto update; you have to download and install it manually. A caution: If you install RC1 using your existing Firefox profile, you will not be able to revert to using FF 2.x with that profile, due to major changes between FF 2 and FF 3. | Vista Ultimate x64 MAK, OpenSolaris 5, Gentoo 2008.1.... | Re: New Firefox 3 and Addons I been using Gran Paradiso since Alpha 3, and I can tell you this - it has changed a lot, and it is a *lot* faster than previous versions of Fx. As it gets closer and closer to release time, more and more extensions are being fixed for compatibility with Fx 3. I have since dumped my Fx 2 (Bon Echo) profile for my Fx 3 only profile. When I say fast - it loads faster than IE and Opera. It renders faster than both. It simply blows most competition out of the water. it is a lot more stable. And it is a lot more functional. Since RC 1 has been released, 10 major bugs and 4 minor ones have been reported. On the 27th Mozilla will decide if they take an additional step to RC 2 or release Fx 3 final, and catch those bugs in Fx 3.0.1. |

| Windows 7 Professional 64-bit | Re: New Firefox 3 and Addons Yeah you loose flash (for now (but you can use ff2 or IE for those times when you need to), but there are a growing number of addons that now work with it. Ive added most of my regular set of addons. |
