Just for fun I tried the tutorial. It crippled me. I was not broke so I didn't need it I guess. It took my Gigabit Ethernet connection down to 100. Reversed and all is well.

My details:
No TCP tweaking, bone stock.
Screaming comcast here on an Arris cable modem.
Vista 32 and 64 bit machines.
Trendnet's latest Draft-N router.

Try swapping the cables ans see if the speeds change....

I have the latest nic drivers, they are actually the only drivers available so I can't roll back
