Internet Explorer: Right mouse button stops working

When I'm working in Internet Explorer, the right mouse button will randomly stop working. Also, when this happens, new windows that open automatically from the webpage or new tabs in the window do not load anything at all. Only IE suffers from this malady--all other programs function as they should.

The only fix I have found for this is to perform a system restore. This fixes the problem temporarily, but after repeated use, IE does the same thing over again.

I've restored my system dozens of times now, with no end in sight. Possible solutions?

First thing to do: Open regedit (Click Start, type in the search bar: regedit and press Enter)
Once in regedit, click once on Computer then edit/search and search for the following words:
1/ restriction
2/ nobrowsercontextmenu
3/ nobrowseroptions

If you have some occurences of the above words, locate the key and copy the path to that key, then post them.

Okay, I did a search in regedit, but I'm not sure what I need to post?

Name: Default Type: RegSZ Data: IAS.PostEapRestrictions.1
File Path: Computer\HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\IAS.PostEapRestrictions\CurVer

The other things didn't come up with anything.

Is that everything you needed? Let me know, this bug is driving me up the wall!!!

OK, nothing weird in registry.
In IE, go to tools/manage add-ons/enable or disable add-ons
You then will try to disable all "suspect" add-ons such as "bars" (google and others) and all of them if necessary one by one.
Look also in the same window for "suspect" activeX.

Just came accross this thread as I am having similar problems.
Have solved it by resetting internet explorer to it's default state using the button on the advanced Tab on internet options.

Will be checking after each addon to see if the problem pops up again however.
