Hello

I installed Firefox 3 not long ago and often when I use it vista prompts me to connect to the internet :O

I'm already connected to broadband through my routers LAN cable. The connection works fine.

It is very annoying and is happening only on my vista pc.

would be very awesome if somebody helped me fix this head-stomping problem!

Hi, bigmamamonk, and welcome to the forums.

I suppose that Vista's default power settings may be affecting you in this case. Try the following:

1. Click the Start button
2. In the search bar type device
3. Make sure that at the top of the list Device manager appears, then click it.
4. If you have UAC enabled (and you should) you'll get a prompt for elevated privileges - click Continue
5. When the Device manager appears, expand the section titled Network Adapters.
6. Find your wireless NIC device, right click it and select Properties
7. Go to the Power Management tab
8. Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"
9. Click OK all the way out.

See if this helps the issue.
