Shortcut redirects

Dear users:

When I create a desktop shortcut with an address, for example (http://ww w.mathcats.com/) and I double click, it redirects me to amazon.com everytime.
I ran my antivirus and I'm clean

Please advice

Re: Shortcut redirects

I recently had an issue like this with a users computer. It was due to a toolbar that got installed on their machine. Do you have the amazon toolbar (or any other toolbar for that matter) installed? It may not be visible, so you could use hijackthis to do a scan. In the example I had, everything this user clicked a shortcut it would take them to ask.com, after finding and removing the ask.com toolbar everything was back to normal.
