Internet works on one account but not the other?

I am confused. I have a laptop with Vista Business and 2 accounts (mine and wife's). When I log on (administrator) all works fine but when my wife logs on I cannot access the internet (both outlook and internet explorer fail to work). However if when in the wife's account I right click explorer and select 'run as administrator' it works fine.

I have tried running through one of Brink's tutorials - namely Internet Explorer reset (disabling add-ons etc) but nothing solved the problem. I have reset my router but problem persists and I do not think it is router as the other account works fine.

Both accounts were working fine until a couple of days ago. No new programmes have been installed and I have tried correcting the problem by restoring back to a point prior to failure to no avail.

Is there some permission setting somewhere I should check? Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be.

urghhhh!

Did you solve your problem? if not try this.

I had same problem with mine and my wifes accounts. I am sure that all accounts on Vista are admin ones anyway but here is what I did. Logged onto wifes account.
On bottom toolbar there was a network image crossed out, clicking this it stated
"not connected to the internet do you want to connect", clicked yes and away we went. Pretty obvious really but had tried in vain for days to sort it out. Never thought of clicking on the network icons maybe should try the obvious first.

Thanks bogart - yes I did solve my problem by deleting my wife's account and then reinstating it! All has worked fine since then - however if it happens next time I will try your tip first.
