Jpg and gif problems

Hi Everybody!
I hope somebody can tell me, how can I open the jpg and gif files. I can see most of them, just a few, which I got by e-mail, or by Msn they are not working.

Hello Janos, and welcome to Vista Forums.

Are you able to save them to your desktop and open them from there?

Double check to make sure that Windows Photo Gallery is set as the default program with all of it's association set to it. This tutorial will help show you how to.

What email program are you using?

If Windows Mail, then check these settings in Windows Mail:

1. Click on Tools and Options.

2. Click on the Security tab

Uncheck Do not allow attachments .....
Uncheck Block images and other external ......
Click on Apply

3. Click on the Read tab

Uncheck Read all messages in plain text.

4. Click on OK.

Jgp problems

Dear Shawn!

Thank you for your quick answer. Unfortunately, this didn't help me neither. I try to tell you just in a few sentences what happened exactly. A few weeks before, everything worked. I downlaoded something, and the PC asked the installer cd. After these, I tried to install again all of the programs what I had before, but it seems like this, still missing something. I can not open for example an aerplane ticket, e-ticket confirmation, and I have some icons, which are missing, just there is a red x in a small box, instead of them. I have K lite codec pack, and Adobe Flash Player, but useless.
I will waiting for your advices.

Janos,

Since everything worked fine a few weeks ago, then you might try a System Restore using a restore point dated before this problem to see if it can fix it.
