Windows Mail

I have an Acer Aspire 5050 and whenever I start it up, windows mail pops up. At first, it would pop up once if you moved it around because the quick launch button for e-mail is faulty and if you get your finger anywhere near the button, it activates. However, recently just starting windows launched windows mail in the hundreds. At one time there were 117 windows of it opened just from starting my computer. It has now gotten to the point where it gets to the desktop, says windows mail, as when it is starting to launch, and just gets stuck.

The only reason I'm able to write this is because I have another computer

I realize that uninstalling vista is not an option, but there has to be some way to get my computer working, right?

Hello RabbitMister, and welcome to Vista Forums.

I would recommend that you run a very thorough antivirus and malware scan to help be safe. This sounds like the works of some form of malware. You may need to do this from within Safe Mode.

If this does not help, then you may need to do a System Restore from boot (Method Two) using a restore point dated before this problem.

Hope this helps,
Shawn
