Just got my new dell laptop, everything working fine except e-mail. I have two e-mail accounts which are both working fine on my PC but when I set them up on the laptop I get the following messages:-
0x800ccc90 0x800ccc92. I have tried various suggestions that I have found on line with no success. I have Norton security and have tried removing e-mail scanning but it made no difference.
Can anyone help?
PS Why is nothing ever straightforward...........????:(:confused:

Have you made sure that your user name and password is correct for both accounts as I think this error is to do with password corruption.

Thanks Joan,
I have checked the user accounts and passwords and they are correct. I've also deleted and then re-created them. I've tried changing my norton so that it does not scan e-mails but that makes no difference either.

Because my e-mail accounts work fine on my pc which has outlook express I feel it must be related to windows mail in some way.

I'll keep looking and hoping...

Thanks for that, I'm new to all this forum stuff.

I have checked my user accounts they are both fine.

I'm confident that I have covered the basics and as I said before I've searched the messages on line and tried several of the various suggestions I have found, all to no avail.
