| Vista Home Premium 23bit. | IE is running - Skype and Mozilla ar blocked! Hi! First of all - Thank you for this great web site! It helped me a lot to tweak my Vista to be more faster. But doing the tweaking, I think I made some mistake. The problem is - Mozilla Firefox and Skype can't connect to the internet. They just say, that they can't do it! In the mean while - internet explorer is working just great! I did some tweaking in Windows services. I was cutting down services depending on this site: Windows Vista Services Explained (I got it from your web site - http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/59910-services.html ) And now there's a problem - internet explorer is the only one, who can access the internet. Windows Firewall is turned off - Windows Defender too. I can get Windows updates, but still - any 3d party software, that needs to connect to the internet, isn't working. Could you please help me and give some advice? I am really confused, because I can't think of any service, that could make such a thing! Thank you very much! Svens Thank you, problem solved! The problem was with my Norton Anti-Virus service! Have a good day! Last edited by Svens; 11-17-2008 at 12:23 PM.. Reason: Problem solved |
