| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Internet problems Hi all, I'm having the weirdest problem with my internet at the moment. I typically use Internet Explorer and it runs fine and I can access websites etc. However after a given time period (maybe 30mins), it stops connecting me to webpages and just does this "forever loading" thing. I thought it may have been a software issue so I installed Google's Chrome but that does exactly the same thing. I don't think its a problem with the router/modem because I still have the problem even if I restart that. Same if I repair my network connection. I've tried deactivating firewalls and antivirus software but to no avail. The only way I've managed to overcome the problem is if I restart my computer and obviously restarting my computer every 30mins is less than ideal. If anyone has heard of a similar thing or can recommend trying something to fix it, I would be very appreciative. Many thanks! Michael |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Internet problems Thanks for the response. I've tried resetting Internet Explorer and running it without add-ons, however none of these fixed the problem. As I mentioned I have the same problem with Google's Chrome, so unless they share some component I don't think the actual problem is just within the add-ons or the software settings. |

| vista x64 | Re: Internet problems i'm having a similar problem with IE. just started this week. Either a windows update, or i'm thinking yahoo toolbar. i may disable it in addons to trouble shoot it. it really ticks me off when i get those white outs and it doesn't respond. |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Internet problems Yeah that's it, although rather than Yahoo I use the Google toolbar. It began only in the last week or so and it could quite possibly be from a Windows update. I just wish someone knew something because simply describing this problem as frustrating is a huge understatement! |

| vista x64 | Re: Internet problems mine is still hosed. yahoo toolbar has a mind of it's own also. it keeps disabling itself. the only reason i installed it was to access yahoo mail instead of windows mail to click mailto: links. I think windows mail is hosing it, because it keeps coming up instead of yahoo (i never set windows mail up) and yahoo is nowhere to be found in programs or default programs to set it once and for all for my mail. what a mess lol! |

| Vista Home Premium 64bit | Re: Internet problems Well at the risk of jinxing myself, it seems like my problem has sorted itself out. While I wasn't aware of any change (updates or change of settings) I'll certainly take it without questions. I hope you have similar success, good luck! |

| Vista Bussiness x64 PL | Re: Internet problems Try three methods: 1.Run Command Prompt (cmd.exe) as a administrator and insert: netsh winsock reset +restart 2.It could be also wrong work non-system firewall (if you have) - uninstall non-system firewall completly, turn on system firewall and check results 3.It could be also defective drivers for network card - update it if you can |
