Videos not playing

Everytime i try to play a video a message pops up sayin that a problem occured and the entire box closes off. I realised it's not just you tube videos but any video i try to play online. It keeps saying it will look for a solution but nothing happens and this keeps happening constantly. SOMEBODY HELP PLEASE!!!!!

Try reinstalling the Adobe Flash plugin.

Close all browsers, go to add/remove programs (name may vary) on the Control Panel. If you have Adobe Flash installed, remove it. After that, go to the Adobe's site to download and install the latest one from there.

It's possible that this is related to the current known problems between Adobe Flash Player 10 (the latest version) and IE7 running in Vista (see this thread).

Installing a new browser may fix the crash/hang problems in IE7 (try upgrading to IE8 Beta, or installing Firefox (which I use), Opera or the new Google Chrome browser. This doesn't cure ALL the problems Flash Player 10, but may at least allow you to play videos without your browser dying.
