IE and the graveyard.

I am trying to either remove or permenently stop IE from being accessed when I access the internet. I have another seach engine that I enjoy. Does anyone know how I can permenently end all threads to this program?

IE is your Internet browser and cannot be removed, what search engine do you use as that still needs a browser to get you onto the Internet.

If you want to use something like Firefox or Chrome and you want them to be the ones that open when you access the Internet you have to make them the default and that would be something that is in their options or preferences. I don't use them so can't help you with that

Another way is to go to Control Panel/default programs. Click on your browser and then Set this program as default. Should do the trick.

Not sure, but I don't think listing your own website in your sig is against the rules. I've had mine there on the Vista Forums. Others are doing it. Personally I wouldn't consider that spam.

The link is my own website which is just a place to show off my work and has been there since I joined, if the admins regarded it as spam I think I would have been told by now to remove it, which I would have done so I'll wait until I hear otherwise but thank you for your concern

Actually dinesh, you can use your home page url. The option is in your User CP-Edit your Details.
