Bcc not posted to Sent file

When I send an email to Bcc recipients, they do not appear on the copy that goes to my sent file. therefore, I don't know who I sent it to in the Bcc recipient box. Help!

Thank you for your reply. Being an amateur who relies on my children to help me, this has been a big step for me to find info on my own. I appreciate your help. I am using Vista HOme Premium Windows Mail.

I don't use Windows Mail so I can't tell what's going on, but In Outlook 2007, yes, bcc does show in sent mail.

Try this, in your sent mail box, open the actual email and see if the bcc names are there. Don't us the "preview pane". See image below.

Hi mastersolver and welcome to Vista Forums :party:

I am assuming that you are using Windows Mail. In the upper panel of the Sent Items folder, right click on the desired email and select Properties. Select the Details tab. Here are a couple of examples. Note that all identifying material has been removed (I actually sent these from myself to myself).
For this example, I sent an email To and CC.

In this example, I sent the email To, CC and BCC.

Note that this is the only way of revealing who you sent a BCC copy of an email to. For obvious reasons, this is the only folder that this works in. If you try the same thing in your Inbox folder, you will only get the details of To and CC. You will NOT get any details for BCC.

Yes this did work....thank you. I must say, coming from Outlook 2003, I feel like I have gone backwards in time...not forward. Why would Windows do this for any other reason than to make me my Outlook? This program came with my HP Presario PC. I am very grateful for your time. Happy Holidays!

Did you use mine or Dwarf's fix? And if you're curious, you can still use Outlook 2003 with Vista. I did till I upgraded to 2007.
