Firefox/Thunderbird in Vista 64

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes. I will be getting my new computer with Vista Home Premium 64 bit preinstalled on Monday. I was wondering if I can install both Firefox and Thunderbird as my browser and email programs without any possible problems? Also, will it make a difference if I use the 32 bit or 64 bit programs? I understand that they are available in both. Sorry for the dumb question, but I am new to or will be new to Vista 64. Thanks.

I'm running 32 bit Firefox on my laptop with Windows 64 bit Home Premium and it runs great. I have not loaded Thunderbird.

No problems. If you find a weird build of 64bit Firefox you will get problems with plugins since most are not 64bit compatible. Java only recently made a 64bit version. I guess also why IE7 and WMP will use 32bit even if there are 64bits available. Both programs are installed in "program files" and "program files (x86). This goes for more Windows programs. 64bit Vista is more like 32/64 bit.

Unless problems like these do go for 64bit programs.
