| Vista Home Premium | Internet Explorer cant display webpage I have a problem with my laptop recently in that although I can send and receive e-mails, I can also connect to the internet via Internet Explorer, but I cannot see any webpages. All I get is 'Internet Explorer cant dislay webpage'. I then tried 'system restore' to an earlier date (as I suspect that one of the updates is causing the problem) and then it worked fine. However, a couple of days later I had the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix this annoying problem and what I can do to stop it happeneing again? Many thanks in advance! |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 TECHNET | Re: Internet Explorer cant display webpage If it's only IE and not any other browser you might use then you can reset IE and see if it helps. It might be a bad add on causing it. Internet Explorer - Reset To use IE in safe mode, Start menu-accessories-system tools-IE no add ons. |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 TECHNET | Re: Internet Explorer cant display webpage Yes, but you don't have to drive by every IE post and just post a link for FF. This is the fifth IE post that I've posted in that you've dropped that in within a half an hour. I use FF and IE as do many people but the questions that are being asked are about IE, not FF. |

| vista ultimate x64 | Re: Internet Explorer cant display webpage I've dropped that link twice, check my post history. In my defence trying a different browser will make it easy to distinguish whether it is in fact a browser issue, or an issue with their ISP DNS server, or proxy or whatever. So calm down. The reason for the quick posting is because I myself need some help solving a networking issue and I was testing the theory that the higher the post count the more likely it is that someone with help me. |

| Vista Ultimate SP2 x64 Windows 7 Ultimate x64 TECHNET | Re: Internet Explorer cant display webpage You need to read the Forum rules. I don't need to calm down. Take what I've said into consideration because what you're doing can be construed as breaking more than one rule. Forum Rules 2. No useless posts. This includes: Thread bumping, useless one liners, flaming, Trolling and Spamming. 4. Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed. You have already bumped a thread, dropping one link in a post for something that doesn't really have to do with the question. What if they're not from Europe? Why put a link for Mozilla Europe only? And multiple posting to increase your chances of being helped is not allowed. |

| vista ultimate x64 | Re: Internet Explorer cant display webpage The post is in english, the firefox europe link won't provide any linguistic issues, ergo does it matter if it may be for the wong continent? Completely glaze over the fact that I've made a useful point about trying to diagnose the cause of the OPs problem. If i'm banned for bending/breaking the rules while trying to help other people as well as attempting to help myself so be it. |
