Since I upgraded to IE8,
1)I can no longer open MS office attachments such as .doc or excel in Windows Mail
2) Many images on websites are no longer viewable, just show as a box with a red x. I click on the "compatability" button, but that doesnt work with either.
Any solutions?
I tried unclicking the dont allow attachments button, didnt work.

I work at an large ISP here in the states and we have TONS of problems with IE8, try the knowledge base on Microsoft Corporation of if you can uninstall and revert back to IE7. We have seen IE8 corrupt and force a full OS reinstall, so be careful.

I have solved the mail attachment problem by following the instructions on this thread here
Internet Explorer 8: Web sites do not display or work correctly
It is to repair the IExplorer by reverting to its original setting without addons. Now I can open attchments no problem.
I still cannot see some images, the ones I couldnt see were hypertext translations or something. Will let you know what happens

I am wondering if it was the new yahoo toolbar I added on recently by clicking yes by mistake

Try uninstalling the toolbar and see if that fixes your problem.

I have already done that, by using the link I posted above. I was just wondering retrospectively if it was that , that had started the problems to begin with. AS I said, I can now open Windows mail attachments. And currently IE EXplorer 8 has no addons and is running fine. Oh I read your reply wrong my bad. It could have been a bad addon the only way to find out is installing the addons you had one by one until you couldn't do in your previous post.
