Customizing IE 8

I just upgraded to IE 8 today. I would like to move the menu bar to the top of the window like it was in IE6. I would like to merge the menu bar and the command bar onto the same line. I would also like to get rid of the newly added extra "Favorites" bar next to the tabs.

Are these things possible?

Hi 1361, uncheck the toolbar, and then drag the to the top of the address bar to move it to the top.

That doesn't work for me. I cannot move anything above the address bar.

With IE 7, I used a reg edit to move the menu bar above the address bar to the old position. I cannot seem to find the link I used to get the instructions and do not know if it would work with IE 8.

I would also like to have the menu bar and the command bar on the same line. I think it would give the browser a cleaner look.
