IE 8 acting very weird.

IE8 will crash and recover tabs continually at NBC.com and USA.com. Some forums will log me in but then ask me to log in immidiatly again and again.

This happens on both Vista machines. One of them was just formatted a few months ago.

I have even tried Disabling all non Microsoft Startup and services from msconfig prior to installing IE8. But that didn't work. I also do use compatibility updates.

Software on both machines:

Avast Antivirus Home
Open Office 3
Spybot Search and Destroy
Brother Printing Software
Firefox 3
CCleaner

Please let me know what I could do to solve the problem, I would be very gratefull.

Re: IE 8 acting very weird.

Hi techguy, click start, in the Start Search box, type inetcpl.cpl and press Enter.
Click the Advanced tab, click Reset.

Let us know if it works,
Dinesh.

Re: IE 8 acting very weird.

Thank you for the answer. I had been doing this at the wrong time. The solution actually required uninstalling IE8, then reseting IE under the advanced tab. Finally IE8 is working without any hiccups.
