Internet explorer trouble

A few days ago my keyboard has started to mess up when using internet explorer. i dowloaded firefox and it works fine and also works fine on other applications i have. any ideas on how to fix this.

    Also 1xHP desktop, 1xHP laptop, 1xGateway laptop
when i type the letters don't always come up. i'll be typing in a search and when i look up i'll only have about 3 letters of the 15 i typed in. when using firefox or microsoft word it works fine. it just does it on internet explorer.
