for the past few days, desktop shortcuts won't access urls. have deleted / replaced short cuts same problem, also have problems accessing url in open email so0me open others don't.

when clicking shortcut get error---=no program associated to preform this operation.

have scanned computer with norton and avg no problems detected

It's not a good idea to have 2 Anti Virus programs on your computer at the same time. Causes all sorts of problems.

Good idea to remove one & then reboot.

Some how all default programs were missing from default list.
Restored list everything now works, i don't know what caused this problem
