everytime i delete my internet histroy I notice that like 5 or so sites stay under history in the address bar. can anyone tell me how to permanetly get rid og them? Ive tried deleting auotcomplete but that doesnt work either.

yes ive tried those and also ccleaner yet the same 5 websites stay in the histaory in the address bar even if I click the red x. I've tried restting ie 8 also and still doesnt work these 5 sites just wont delete

Have you considered going back to IE7 or using Firefox?

i just want to know whats causing this. this is a one year old laptop and its already had so many problems and on its 3rd hard drive.

I can understand your frustation. As for being on a third hard drive - wow!
That's not good.

dell sent me the faulty one when i first got this laptop then the second one they sent be was also having trouble so this is my third. I guess im just alittle worried and paranoid even that the smallest thing with this computer. i thinking of letting geek squad give it a once over just to make sure everything is ok wiht it.

Is the computer or newest hard drive still under warranty?
A second opinion might be a good idea.

no it went out of warranty a month and a half ago. its either geek squad or buy a new computer

If it's the latter, I bet it won't be the same brand as the current one.
