Just to see if it's a browser related issue, try this:
Make sure Firefox is closed. Press Win+R, type firefox.exe -profilemanager and press enter. Make yourself a new profile and try the site.
Other passwords are still saved?
Make sure to post back.

I can suggest another program, if it's a bad cookie that you can't find, CCleaner is a well known cleaner. It's a nice tool anyway. Hope this helps, let us know if it did.

CC was the first thing i tried... i can get on the site at work, no problem, it has to be something on this box, i'd hate to have to reinstall just to get to a web site....

If you glary and cleaned IE8 manually, I can't see why its still there. Upgrade to 7 in a week would be the best option.

Have had this problem with remembering passwords ever since I installed SP2. Have searched the net for solutions but none found. Doubt it is cookie related. Passwords nowadays often handled by lsass.exe, no idea how it works. Now using roboform.
