Vista - Windows Mail (Vista) Compact Issues

All was FINE..
Was importing all my mail from Google,
Over, 700,000 emails..

Have 205 folders..

and dozens and dozens of rules.

...
Then I did a search, for my email address in the advance search
when it came back, did not find nothing ???

I said, hmm, let me restart the program, it open it, windows mail, downloaded some new email, I waited, then I re-did the same search, still nothing, I am looking at my own email, which should be move into the SENT folder, but its in my Inbox, Odd ?

So, I close the program, and the compact message came up,
which it has done a dozen time before.... EXPECT this time CRASH AND BURN

Now, Windows Mail, wants to compact, (or finish the last compact) that it has started, but can't, crash and burn, and keep getting this message.

Is there a solution or fix or a work around
